It s a Hot One this week! We are playing with Sublimation Printing and Heat Transfer.
We found an Epson Artisan 1430 larger format printer in eBay. We won it for only $180, so we decided to try to do some sublimation printing. We picked up a continuous ink system that allows us to run sublimation dye through the printer. Then we picked up a heat press with some attachments to apply the transfers to other things like mugs, cups, plates... We wanted to make sure we had all the attachments, just in case. We even bought a bunch of poly sprays so we could try to heat transfer on to all types of materials. We sprayed it on a t-shirt, a tumbler, and a piece of scrape wood.
