We saw this Close to Home Table Gallery at a fair that we were at. I knew we would end up making our version of it.
This was a simple project. We trimmed down a 2x2 and put an offset channel long ways, down the center. This channel will hold the pictures.
Next, we traced our name on to the wood and burned the letters with a wood burning tool. The wood burning was the longest part. We gave it a quick sanding and stained it.
We painted some silver L brackets to look like rubbed iron. Drilled pilot holes and screwed the bracket to the corner for decoration.
Next, we printed out the pictures using the sublimation printer. Taped 3 aluminum sublimation blanks to the paper and threw them under the heat press for 1 minute.
That was it! Recreated a $58 Close to Home Table Gallery for just $5.
