Yay! Spring is finally here! The first thing you think about with Spring is beautiful flowers and outdoors! Now is the perfect time to create some bright shiny new birdhouses for your feathered friends. Not only will it make the birds happy, but birdhouses are a colorful way to decorate your landscaping! A bright pop of color in your yard to accent that beautiful spring grass. These were super simple to make, we used 1x4's for the sides and bottom. Garrett used an old license plate for his roof and I used a galvanized corrugated panel for my roof. We used spray pain for the galvanized panel and some simple outdoor acrylic paint for the wood pieces. And lastly, added some great accent pieces we found at Hobby Lobby! We mounted these on a 4x4 fence post and they great in our yard! All we need now are some new tenants! #birdhouse #birdhouseforrent #DIY

A few weeks ago we made an entryway table, but it was missing something and Kim has been itching to try to paint some Buffalo Plain checks on something.
This buffalo plaid project was really easy project that took about an hour and cost about $15. This week we made a farmhouse entryway table out of only 2x4's - that's 5 boards for about $15! It was super easy and only took half a day. If the fancy angles are too hard to cut safely we recommend doing 45-degree angles! We love the look of the new rustic console table. It adds a lot of pop to the foyer and a great place to drop your keys and mail.

We wanted a side table for our sofa that not only looked nice, but had power for all of our gadgets and things. So as you can imagine, when we discovered the multi-tasking wonder that is the c-side table, it was love at first sight! This little table breathes an air of elegance to your living room, bedroom or game room with a contemporary look. This tiny table tucks around the edge of a sofa and is just as good at holding a laptop as it is at balancing a nice glass of wine! With the tongue and groove look of the edge, this table not only adds function, but adds a splash of chic to your room. We found quite a few versions of this table, but this one had that little something extra with tongue and groove look on the side. Even with this extra detailing, it was still a relatively simple build, just a bunch of 1x4’s, some glue, cordless nailer, clamps and stain. We added a recessed power strip with cover that has 1 socket and 2 USB ports. We love it and… if you watch the video, we found we can easily convert it to extra seating space if needed!
